As part of safer internet day Year 6 have discussed what issues really matter to them and how we could all work together to make changes. We answered the following:

What issues really matter to young children? Online bullying, texts and calls from unknown numbers and content being inappropriate.
What changes do you want to see? More people checking messages online and deleting any inappropriate content quickly, more children only websites and apps which are specific to different age groups.
How can we all work together to advocate for them moving forward? More discussions in schools with children and parents, a safe space where children can go and record any issues they have had to warn other children, more lessons and resources in schools to support children and parents at home.

Year 6 then completed the safer internet day quiz answering all the questions correctly! Well done Year 6 let’s work together to make our internet a safer space!
