Year 6 Climate Change Trip to Beamish

Children in Year 6 visited Beamish Museum to learn all about ‘carbon footprints’, as part of their new science topic about Climate Change and Sustainability. The children interviewed the staff and explored the exhibits to identify the carbon footprint in the 1820s and the 1950s and made comparisons to ours now.
They planted new trees on site and discussed ways to reduce their own carbon footprint.

Excellent work, Year 6!
