    Year 4 Synagogue Visit

    Year 4 enjoyed their visit to the Synagogue to further understand how Jewish people show their commitment to God. The staff at the synagogue were very impressed with everything the class could remember about their religion.

    Roman Mono Printing

    Year 4 had a fantastic time using different textures and inks to create Roman mosaic inspired mono prints. They used different shapes to create the small mosaic tiles and positioned them in beautiful patterns before putting them through the printing press. The results look fantastic!

    The Digestive System

    Today we created a model of the digestive system in Year 4. We got very messy and sticky and enjoyed adding the saliva enzymes and stomach acid to our broken down food, squeeeeeezing it through the intestines to get all of the nutrients out, before dropping it into the toilet!

    Roman Roads

    This week we have discovered why the Romans spent so much time building roads. Year 4 have been looking for evidence of Roman roads and Roman settlements on maps of the local area and they were very surprised by what they found!

    We visited the Discovery Museum to explore electrical conductors and insulators. We created circuits with buzzers and bulbs and made our own torches to take home!

    Year 4 have enjoyed World Book Day 2024 with a game of ‘Guess Who?’, making our own bookmarks and a treasure hunt in the library to find a secret message! Then we chose our own books to read for pleasure.
