Water Conservation
Year 4 have been researching why it is important to conserve water and what we can all do to conserve water on a daily basis. We found that is important to conserve water to avoid droughts.
Then they completed a water audit were they thought about all the times we use water in a day and calculated how many litres of water this added up to. Did you know that flushing the toilets uses 7-12 litres of water?
Using their research, they then created a display to suggest ways we could conserve water on a daily basis. For example, we can turn the tap off when brushing our teeth, take a short shower rather than a bath, collect rain water to water plants and even use bath water to wash the car!
