Geometric Art
Today in Year 3, the children have been exploring both their own and Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s ideas through a geometric sketching activity. First, they all took part in a step-by-step tutorial in order to perfect the infamous “Mackintosh Rose”, before then setting to work creating their very own. Once they had done so, they then used a ruler to create a range of straight and curved lines in order to design a shape-themed background to surround their flowers. They then finalised their masterpieces by applying colour.
