Today in Year 3 the children have been re-familiarising themselves with telling the time to the hour and half past through a challenge titled “Stop The Clock”. In order to complete the task the children were required to take it in turns to choose to move the hands of the clock on by either half an hour or by one hour, whilst also recording both theirs and their partner’s decisions on the clock faces provided. The first player to move the hands exactly onto 12 o’clock was the winner. Let’s just say there were a lot of frustrated children when some of their friends worked out a winning strategy and won every game.
