Pond dipping at Scotswood Garden Centre.

Year 4 have had a great morning pond dipping as part of their science topic. They have been classifying and identifying the creatures that they found in the pond which then helped them work out if the pond was healthy or not. Turns out it is very healthy! Using ph paper they found out the ph of the pond which also showed them how the pond is a good habitat for different creatures.

They then spent some time exploring Scotswood Gardens and seeing how they look after nature and the environment.
