    Disgusting Digestion!

    Year 4 had a fantastic time at the Centre for Life getting their hands dirty making a model of the digestive system. They can tell you all about the different organs and their functions and can even explain what setting your teacher on fire has to do with our digestion!!

    Year 4 had an amazing time at the Discovery museum exploring circuits and making their own torches! They made a human circuit and tested different conductors and insulators, including plastic, metal and cucumber!

    Year 4 Athletics

    Year 4 have been practising their skills ready for Sports Day in the summer during their athletics lessons with the NUFC Coaches. They have shown resilience during the 100 metre sprint and excellent team work during the relay race and egg and spoon race. Look at them go!

    How many batteries do you need to light 4 bulbs?

    Year 4 have been building simple circuits in Science this week to investigate how many batteries you would need to make 4 bulbs light up. They have looked at which materials are conductors and insulators and have chosen different metals to make a switch to use in a circuit.

    Bridges on the Tyne

    Year 4 visited the Baltic today on the quayside to draw the bridges of the River Tyne for our art unit where we have looked at the work of local artist Naomi Blayney. We have used ink and cross hatching to create our own art work similar to Naomi’s.
