Year 1 trip to Gibside
Year 1 enjoyed their visit to Gibside linked to their science unit plants. They completed a plant hunt in the walled garden and made observational drawings of trees and plants. We finished the day off having fun in the park.Read Full Story - 14/05/24
Sharing by grouping
In maths Year One have been sharing amounts by grouping into 2s, 5s or 10s. At the end of the lesson the children worked together to investigate whether all numbers can be grouped in 2s, 5s and 10s.Read Full Story - 09/05/24
Year 1 Multi skills Festival

Numbers up to 50

Mars day in Year 1
To celebrate Mars day, year 1 worked together to make a moon lander. Each group were given the exact same resources and they had to follow instructions to make their moon lander. Once completed, they launched them to see if the egg-naut survived.Read Full Story - 15/02/24
